Cairn Community Games supports Sport Ireland’s initiatives relating to voluntary organisations, volunteerism and children’s sport.
This Declaration of Intent applies to Restricted Volunteers and relevant personnel working with children on a one-off basis. Volunteers must read and agree to abide by the Cairn Community Games Codes of Conduct and Child Protection Policies before completing the required self-declaration.
Anyone wishing to continue volunteering with children must complete Garda Vetting in line with policy, and Restricted Volunteers who wish to help more than once must complete full volunteer recruitment and vetting.
All Restricted Volunteers must sign up to the Code of Conduct and familiarise themselves with the Child Protection Policies before submitting this form:

Approval is not automatic; the Children’s Officer for the event will review this application. You may not volunteer at the event until you receive confirmation of approval.
The Restricted Volunteer Form should not be used for the following roles,
- Coaching, mentoring
- Teaching, training or instruction
These roles should have been agreed in advance of the event running.
