With county-wide, regional and national events or finals, children from all backgrounds get the chance to showcase their talents and represent their communities with pride making lifelong memories.

our mission

& values

Our mission is to inspire young people to lead active, healthy lives while fostering friendship, teamwork and a strong community spirit. We are committed to promoting wellbeing, inclusion and diversity through every aspect of our work. Through thousands of dedicated volunteers, we create inclusive, accessible and fun experiences that bring families and communities together.

Empowering Young People

We aim to provide a platform where young people can explore their passions, develop confidence and build friendships that last a lifetime.

Community Spirit

Our events foster unity and pride, bringing together families, schools and local volunteers to support the next generation.

Inclusivity & Accessibility

We strive to break barriers to participation, ensuring every child, regardless of background or ability, can engage in sports and culture.

At Cairn Community Games we promote healthy lifestyles, wellbeing, inclusion and diversity to families and children in communities all across Ireland. We do this through the provision of sporting and cultural activities and the arts. We believe every child should have the chance to shine in something they enjoy within their community and in a safe environment. That is why we have something for everyone from swimming to singing, athletics to art and gymnastics to GAA. The only problem you will have is choosing the events you want to take part in.

team

We collaborate closely with key organisations such as Sport Ireland and the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sports and Media to ensure our programs are impactful and sustainable.

Our work is made possible by a dedicated network of 10,000+ volunteers across Ireland. Led by a Board of Trustees and supported by staff members and partners, we work tirelessly to create a safe, structured and enjoyable environment for all participants.
