This is a County Event. There are no Regional or Provincial Finals in this event. Two teams per age group may qualify from County to National.
Topics:
U11: Present a project based on how Cairn Community Games can help with wellbeing in your community, family or school.
- Give examples of the benefits of participating, volunteering and supporting Cairn Community Games for young people and adults and your community.
- Explain why it is important to partake in activities you enjoy with Cairn Community Games and why it is important for adults to volunteer with Cairn Community Games
- Use any additional points/information and images which you deem necessary to back up your project.
U13: As Cairn Community Games approaches its 60th anniversary in 2027, Lets look back!
- Bring the past 60 years to life using memories, ambassadors, local stories and memorabilia.
- How has CCG shaped your community since its creation? Feel free to use local ambassadors, challenges and wins, local volunteers here
- What impact has Cairn Community Games had in Ireland since its formation?
- Use any additional points/information and images which you deem necessary to present your project.
- Two area teams for each age group may be entered from each county.
- Projects may be supported in their presentation by any suitable means.
- Maximum exhibition space is 2m high by 2m wide (or as available). A table of 61cm by 61cm may be used. Floor space must not be used for exhibits. Marks will be deducted for oversized exhibits.
- During judging, a team must be represented by a minimum of two members of the panel. Teams will be given a maximum of 10 minutes each to present.
- Judging Criteria:
- Research – range, depth & quality: 30 Marks
- Originality – unique approach: 20 Marks
- Presentation – quality of presentation: 20 Marks
- Knowledge of topic: 30 Marks
