Individual Track Boys and Girls

Age

  • Boys & Girls Under 8/Over 6: 60M and 80M
  • Boys & Girls Under 10/Over 8: 100M & 200M
  • Boys & Girls Under 12/Over 10: 100M, 200M & 600M
  • Boys & Girls Under 14/Over 12: 100M, 200M & 800M
  • Boys & Girls Under 16/Over 14: 100M, 200M & 1500M

Notes

  • 1st place from County qualifies directly to National Finals.
  • 2nd and 3rd place proceed to Regional Qualifier.
  • Top 3 from Regional Qualifier advance to National Finals.

Additional Notes

  1. Rules of the I.A.A.F. apply except where amended by Community Games.
  2. Starting blocks are not permitted.
  3. Spikes are not permitted in U8/U10 competitions.
  4. A whistle may be used to start the competition.
  5. On the command “Set”, all competitors (except U8 and U10) must assume their full and final set position without delay. Failure to comply constitutes a false start.
  6. Any competitor making a false start must be warned. Two false starts result in disqualification, except in U8 and U10 events.
  7. In U8/U10 finals, the track referee/Activities Director may order a re-run without disqualifying any competitor, following consultation with the starter and finish line judges.
  8. At National Festival – Athletic Track, electronic equipment approved by National Community Games may be used to assist Judges/Officials and appeals personnel.
  9. At National Festival, county numbers must be displayed front and back on all competitors’ vests.
