Safeguarding Training

As a part of the affiliation process for Cairn Community Games there isa new requirement for ALL Children’s Officers to attend a Safeguarding Briefing with the National Children’s Officers. This is a requirement for Children’s Officers but is open to the whole committee should they wish to attend,

The briefing will last 1.5 hours and give an overview of Cairn Community Games Safeguarding Policies and Procedures including:

Cairn Community Games Values and Ethos

Risk Assessments and Child safeguarding Statements

Vetting requirements

Use of restricted Volunteer form

Requirements for safeguarding training

Codes of Conduct and their uses

Photographic Consent Procedures

Working Safely with Children

This course is available on the following dates:

Tuesday 25th November 2025 @ 7:30pm

Saturday 29th November 2025 @ 10:30am

Tuesday 16th December 2025 @ 7:30pm

Thursday 15th January 2026 @ 7:30pm

Saturday 24th January 2026 @ 10:30am

Tuesday 3rd February 2026 @ 7:30pm

Saturday 14th February 2026 @ 7:30pm

Areas whose Children’s Officer does not attend one of these sessions within 4 weeks of commencing affiliation will not be permitted to complete their affiliation process and will be unable to participate in Cairn Community Games in 2026.
